NFT PLATFORMS
In this medium article, I would like to share some different NFT (non-fungible token) platforms and NFT use-cases with you. Very important for the NFT ecosystem is the ERC-721 standard.
LUKSO
LUKSO is a Blockchain infrastructure, providing a series of standards and solutions for physical and digital consumer goods, in order to foster transparency, circularity and new forms of responsible production and consumption.
LUKSO is the next project by the creator of ERC-20 and ERC-725, a network dedicated to moving Blockchain beyond DeFi.
LUKSO is current in the ICO phase, until the 18th of February. The price of the LYXE token is at the moment at 3,89 USD. No information about the current market cap.
ONFLOW
Flow was designed from the ground up as a foundation for internet-scale protocols and applications that also require exceptional user experience.
Conceived by the team behind CryptoKitties, Flow was developed and stress-tested with top global partners and is now open for anyone to contribute to and benefit from.

OpenSea is the world’s largest digital marketplace for crypto collectibles and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), including ERC721 and ERC1155 assets. Buy, sell, and discover exclusive digital assets like Axies, ENS names, CryptoKitties, Decentraland, and more.
OpenSea has not a listed token yet.
Rarible
Rarible is a creator-centric NFT marketplace and issuance platform. RARI is a governance token with Marketplace Liquidity Mining program and the airdrop for the large NFT holders.
RARI is the native governance token of the NFT marketplace Rarible, designed to reward active platform users with a voice on the platform’s future. As we are growing in numbers and expanding our presence on the market, we decided to take a shift towards a becoming a fully Decentralized Autonomous Organization. NFTX — Index fund protocol
NFTX is a Non-Fungible Token (NFT) index funds protocol built on top of Ethereum.
There are two types of funds on NFTX:
- D1 funds
Every D1 fund token has a 1:1 backing against an NFT. For example, if a user owns 2 PUNK-ZOMBIE, that means the user can redeem exactly two random zombie CryptoPunks at any moment.
- D2 funds
Every D2 fund token is a Balancer pool’s Liquidity Provider (LP) token that has exposure to several D1 funds’ token. PUNK is a D2 fund that combines five different D1 Punk funds (PUNK-ZOMBIE, PUNK-FEMALE, PUNK-BASIC, PUNK-ATTR-4, and PUNK-ATTR-5).
One of the biggest problems in the NFT space is price discovery due to rampant wash-trading and illiquidity between sales. Having real-time price feeds from popular funds may solve both of these issues.

ETHITEM

AXIEINFINITY
Axie Infinity is a blockchain-based trading and battling game that is partially owned and operated by its players. Inspired by popular games like Pokémon and Tamagotchi, Axie Infinity allows players to collect, breed, raise, battle and trade token-based creatures known as Axies.
These Axies can take various forms, and there are more than 500 different body parts available, including aquatic, beast, bird, bug, plant and reptile parts. Parts from each type class come in four different rarity scales: common, rare, ultra-rare and legendary — and Axies can have any combination of body parts, making them highly variable and often rare and unique.
Each Axie is a non-fungible token (NFT) with different attributes and strengths and can be entered into 3v3 battles, with the winning team earning more experience (exp) points that are used to level up an Axie’s stats or evolve their body parts. These Axies can be bred together to produce new and unique offspring, which can be used or sold on the Axie marketplace.
The Axie Infinity ecosystem also has its own unique governance token, known as Axie Infinity Shards (AXS). These are used to participate in key governance votes and will give holders a say in how funds in the Axie Community Treasury are spent.
AXS is already listed on different exchanges, e.g. on Uniswap. The price of the AXS token is at the moment at 2,16 USD. The market cap is at around 121 Mio. USD.

DECENTRALAND
Decentraland is an Ethereum-powered virtual reality platform. In this virtual world, you purchase plots of land that you can later traverse, build upon, and monetize. There’s no limit to what you can do. It’s the first digital platform that’s completely owned by its users. Similar to games like Skyrim and Fallout, Decentraland is an all-immersive virtual universe. However, instead of playing on a 2-dimensional screen, you participate in a 3-dimensional world. It seems to be the logical next step before creating full-blown AI-based games in the physical space à la Westworld. Similar groupings on LAND comprise Districts. Districts are basically communities that revolve around a shared theme. For example, there may be a District just for crypto enthusiasts with cryptocurrency apps and services.
MANA is already listed on different exchanges, e.g. on Uniswap. The price of the MANA token is at the moment at 0,31 USD. The market cap is at around 411 Mio. USD.
Conclusion
NFTs are still in the early days and the current volume traded on exchanges is still low. But NFTs are a hot topic and we see a lot of new platforms raisin up and a lot of new non-fungible tokens are created and traded. I suggest following the NFT market very closely — it could be the next big topic in the crypto market in 2021.
